Annual Education Conference, London 2018

Thursday 1st February

Westminster Kingsway College
(Capital City College Group)

Dynistics' first Annual Education Conference, held on Thursday 1st February 2018, was a fantastic day full of valuable insight from organisations using Active Dashboards day in day out.

This year’s event builds on the regional user group events previously run by Dynistics and marks the growing demand for information management solutions in the FE sector.

Business Intelligence and Reporting Manager Paul Rabbich unveiled Capital City College Group's new dashboards. He went on to provide insight on best practice for a successful design and implementation strategy.

Senior Analyst for Havering College, James Webber focused on Education and Training. The college’s dashboards give a high level overview of the college’s performance against their achievement, retention and pass targets. From this, senior management can then drill down to subject area and individual course level.

LeSoCo Vice-Principal for Curriculum and Quality, Gordon Gillespie demonstrated the college's Student Retention and ProAchieve dashboards. The National Data Set dashboard utilised publicly available information to use as a benchmark for quality and achievement.

Dynistics Product Specialist and Consultant Paul Ford concluded the day by presenting the Dynistics Product Roadmap. He encouraged all the colleges present to get involved in determining the next generation of Dynistics products.

If you think your college would benefit from the dashboards demonstrated at the Dynistics Annual Education Conference whether it be around student retention, governance, Ofsted or hundreds of other “out the box” features available with Active Dashboards, get in touch today.

Reflections on the day

"Learning how others approach similar challenges was really helpful"

"It was useful to know that other organisations face similar problems (e.g. missing / dirty data and poor data input processes)"

"While you may not agree with another college's approach, it's great to see different aspects of others' dashboards"

"A key take away for me was finding out how dashboards are used as part of quality assurance / performance management systems"
