The University of the Arts London (UAL) – Europe’s largest specialist Arts and Design University – has chosen our data visualisation and analysis software – Active Dashboards – to take their management reporting to the next level.

With over 18,000 students from more than 100 countries, the University is a world centre for design innovation. More than half of all Turner Prize Nominees are from the UAL stable and the university has launched the careers of over half of the recipients of the British Designer of the Year Award winners.

Established in 2004 UAL brought together six London-based colleges with international reputations in art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts. With multiple data sources, over 4,500 staff across six sites and each department managing their own reporting, collating information for the senior management team was challenging and time consuming.

With Active Dashboards data visualisation tool, UAL now has the ability to easily connect and draw data from multiple sources, giving senior managers instant access to meaningful management information quickly- in user friendly, visual formats. With the ability to drill down into specific areas for greater insight, UAL plans to apply Active Dashboards to focus on key areas of student recruitment, retention and achievement.
